Adebanji Alade (The Addictive Sketcher) can be seen here being featured on BBC one – The One Show (in October 2016) where he sketched Jeremy Paxman and also where he interviews, sketches and paints Leslie Ash and speaks about his work.
It’s a fantastic Competition!! So stay tuned!
Remember it’s every Tuesday at 8pm on SkyArt for the next 7 weeks! (I am no more in the competition, as I didn’t make it to the next round)
This is my piece for those who couldn’t watch it or missed it!
Reflections on a Grey Day, Lyme Park, 24″ x 36″, Oil on Canvas
I’ve just been given a whirlwind introduction by Adebanji Alade on how to paint a scene like this. Adebanji is the 2013 winner of the Pintar Rapido competition, a unique outdoor painting festival that is celebrating its third year in London this month. He has captured the scene in front of us in less than half an hour, whilst giving me a running commentary.
This a short Interview that took place on the 24th of April, 2015 at Arise TV, London. Here, Adebanji explains a bit about his sketching habit and mostly about his latest painting, “The African Doll” which is currently being exhibited at Lacey Contemporary Gallery, till the 11th of May 2015.
